Bayville is an incorporated village of about 6,600 residents (ZIP 11709) on a narrow peninsula in the Town of Oyster Bay, with Long Island Sound on one side and Mill Neck Creek and Oyster Bay Harbor on the other. Few Long Island communities are this defined by water: cross the Bayville Bridge and the village stretches ahead like a beach town.
Beach Village Living
Ransom Beach and the village’s Sound-front beaches give Bayville a summer rhythm, with seafood spots and ice cream stands along Bayville Avenue that stay busy from Memorial Day through fall. The Centre Island causeway runs from the village’s eastern end.
Homes
Bayville’s housing mixes year-round capes and colonials with shorefront homes facing the Sound, many rebuilt and raised over the years. Streets are compact and walkable, and most of the village lies within a few blocks of the water.
