A Historic Village
Roslyn is an incorporated village of about 3,000 residents (ZIP 11576) in the Town of North Hempstead, tucked into the valley at the head of Hempstead Harbor. Its Main Street is one of Long Island’s best-preserved: clapboard houses and storefronts from the 1700s and 1800s, watched over by the landmark Roslyn Clock Tower of 1895.
Around the Village
The village pond and Gerry Park sit at the center of town, ringed by restaurants that make Roslyn one of the North Shore’s dining destinations. Just north in Roslyn Harbor, the Nassau County Museum of Art occupies a former Frick estate, its sculpture gardens spread over 145 acres.

Roslyn’s housing is as layered as its history: 18th and 19th-century village houses along the old streets, mid-century homes on the hillsides, and the estate neighborhoods of Roslyn Harbor and East Hills surrounding the village.

Northern Boulevard crosses the village at the harbor’s head, the LIRR’s Oyster Bay Branch stops at Roslyn station, and the surrounding villages, Roslyn Harbor, Roslyn Heights, and East Hills, are all minutes away.
